Current Tours and Cruises Available through Frosch Join Martha Nell on One of Two Cruises (April & October 2008) Join Martha Nell When She is a Signature Host Signature Travel Network of which Frosch is a member, has one of the member’s agents on board certain cruises. Martha Nell will be a host on two cruises in 2008. 11-night Mysteries of the Far East Cruise sailing from Hong Kong to Singapore on the luxurious 940-guest Crystal Symphony: The voyage starts on April 14th and ends on April 25. The ship makes several stops at ports in Vietnam, an overnight stay in Laem Chabang, the port for Bangkok, and an overnight in Singapore at the end. Signature gives prepaid gratuities on almost all Crystal cruises including this one. Also, there are shipboard credits that range from $100 to $400 per cabin depending upon the category. A Grand Mediterranean 11-night Med cruise from Athens to Monte Carlo on the 700-guest Seven Seas Voyager: This cruise starts in Piraeus on October 25 and ends on Monte Carlo on November 5. The Voyager is the world’s second all-suite, all-balcony ship and the second to feature a restaurant operated by Le Cordon Bleu of Paris. The Voyager has the highest space and service ratios at sea and her suites are the largest “lead-in” suites in the industry. The itinerary includes stops at Kusadasi, where a visit to Ephesus is a must; several in Greece; Malta; Sorrento, where excursions to Pompeii or Capri are offered, Corsica; and Florence. Ireland: The Land, Its History and Culture FRIENDS OF SULGRAVE MANOR: May 21 to 28, 2008 Join us for a week of exploring Ireland’s rich history and culture as we visit the western seaboard of the country and its vibrant capital city Dublin. We will be led by Con Moriarty who will share his knowledge of Irish history as well as his passion for his homeland; and Michael Gibbons, an archaeologist and storyteller, who will introduce us to the ancient past in his own backyard of Connemara. They will offer an insight into an Ireland not available to most visitors. We will stay in The Cashel House Hotel and The Merrion Hotel, two of Ireland’s most deluxe hotels, one set in the wild and yet poetic countryside and the other in the heart of elegant Georgian Dublin. | Climb the Sydney Harbor Bridge “ This adventure is for everyone regardless of age. Only in Australia would a company put millions of dollars into such a 100% safe, exciting, fun-filled experience. For me, it was a “procedure.” Every detail, every choreographed moment from the time we arrived until we completed the climb added to the experience. Safety begins with the equipment. Each climber wears a full zip-on coverall with elastic ankles and wrists. Issued, if desired, are a handkerchief, a hat and a glasses strap all attached to the coverall so nothing can descend onto the roadway below, full of cars. We buckled on belts with hooks for two bags: one with a fleece jacket, the other with a rain poncho--all secured to their bag and us. On this belt were safety clips attaching us to the bridge cable. Before we left the building, our group of 12 tested gear on an elevated platform with stairs and ladder, a simulated bridge climb so the guide could see we were ready, both mentally and physically, and equipment was functioning. Commencing the actual climb, we crossed a catwalk, looked down on the cars racing across the bridge; ascended metal stairs to a platform, gazed at Sydney and the Harbor from above; and walked up the arch on a 30-45 degree slope. The guide (with the only camera) captured the event with a group photo (included) at the summit and shots of each couple, group or individual on the way up (extra). Helpers were stationed along the way to give aid. The route traces an inverted box shape, going up the south side, crossing over to the north side at the top and returning. Descending, we faced Sydney with a bird’s eye view of the Opera House, ferries and sailboats, and downtown skyscrapers.
